The battery is not rechargeable. To replace the battery:
Caution
When replacing the battery, do not touch any of the circuitry on the transmitter. Static from your body could damage the transmitter.
- Extend the key blade and open the battery cover on the back of the transmitter by prying with a finger.
- Remove the used battery by pushing on the battery and sliding it toward the key blade.
- Insert the new battery, positive side facing up. Push the battery down until it is held in place.Replace with a CR2032 or equivalent battery.
- Snap the battery cover back on to the transmitter.

Power Door Locks
Press or
to lock or unlock the
doors, tailgate, and if equipped, the
locking fuel door.
If the driver door is open, the driver
door and locking fuel door cannot
be locked. This can be changed in
Safety Locks
The rear door safety locks prevent
passengers from opening the rear
doors from inside the vehicle.
Manual Safety Locks
If equipped, the safety lock is
located on the inside edge of the
rear doors. T

Removal Procedure

Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle

Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and
Installation .
Remove the brake drum. Refer to Brake Drum Replacement.
